Congratulations!!! You made it through pregnancy and birth! Your baby has officially landed Earth-side, but your journey isn't finished yet! It has only just begun.
Natural Rhythms Doula Care provides comprehensive, holistic care after your birth to ensure that your baby and you have everything that you need to thrive. Your doula will make sure you have the best information, are supported, and take care of everything so you can focus on taking care of what matters the most.
You postpartum care will look a little something like this:
- While I'm with your family, I take care of everybody in the house, and the house. This includes things like meal preparation, light housekeeping, running errands, and helping to take care of the older children's needs so that you can relax, recover, and relish every moment with your newborn, without having to worry that things won't be taken care of in your nest while you rest.
- Whether you are breast or bottle feeding, you will provided with expert guidance and help to make feeding your baby the best experience possible for you both.
- You will get complete, up to date information on the most recent research surrounding babies, motherhood, parenting, and postpartum healing.
- At Natural Rhythms Doula Care, modern methods are incorporated along with traditional, ancestral methods of healing and caretaking so you can be assured that you are getting the best of the best care, and the most accurate knowledge when it comes to your postpartum healing and raising your baby.
- Your emotional and physical recovery after birth is priority. Natural Rhythms is your one-stop-shop, assisting you and your family in every way to make things easier during this time.
- While your doula is around, you never have to stress about putting your baby down. Whether you need to take a shower, get work done, or go for a walk, you can feel rest-assured that your baby is being taken care of in expert, compassionate hands.
- If we worked together during your pregnancy, we will have created your unique postpartum plan. Now is the time to implement that plan, which will make your life so much easier. The postpartum plan includes the roles of your entire support team so that nobody is feeling left out of this special time, and everybody knows exactly how they can best be of help. (Of course if we did not have the privilege of working together during pregnancy, this plan can be created now during postpartum and can continually be adjusted to meet your needs.)
- Whether you need a pelvic floor therapist, a pediatrician, or a new breastmilk pump, you will be provided with the best, most trusted postpartum resources and get referrals to top of the line professionals who can meet all of your needs.
- African postpartum Belly Binding can be included during your visits. Visit the African Belly Binding for more information on the benefits of this practice.
- Promoting of infant-parent bonding during this time is key. Bonding with your baby right away will create a lasting relational foundation for your babies infant-hood that will last forever. You will be given the tools, knowledge, and support you need to experience true bonding with your infant during this special time.
- Holding space for you to process your birth experience is of the upmost importance, as processing your birth is the first step to truly recovering emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically from this rite of passage you've just gone through.
- I provide emotional support for the entire family to help ease the transition for siblings, partners, grandparents, friends, and help everyone adjust to the new normal.
- With ongoing virtual care via texting, email, phone calling, or video calling, you can feel comfortable, safe, and know that you always have support. Whether you need to ask questions about your baby or just talk about your day, I'm here for you. Always just a text or call away.
